   I'm having trouble adding a new fingerprint. When I tried to add a new fingerprint, Windows said: "Your device is having trouble recognizing you.". I recognize that my already added finger works only fine, but calculation a new finger but doesn't work. I tried cleaning the sensor with some alcohol, reinstall the driver, update the commuter but it didn't work. Tin can somebody fix this? My device is ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 2.

   Follow these steps to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter:

   • Press Windows fundamental + W and type troubleshooting.
   • Select Troubleshooting.
   • Select View all on the top left corner.
   • Click Hardware and Devices.
   • Follow the on-screen educational activity to run the troubleshooter.

   Method ii: Uninstall and reinstall the driver

   drivers check if it works for yous.

   Follow the steps to uninstall the Fingerprint
   drivers:

   Now download the drivers the manufacturer website and install it in Windows 8.1 compatibility manner. Follow the steps provided below to install the drivers in compatibility mode:

   • Right-click on the driver setup file and click on 'properties'.
   • Click on the 'compatibility' tab and check the box "Run this program in compatibility way for" and select Windows viii.1 operating organization from the drop downward.
   • Click on 'Apply' and click 'OK' and run the file to install it.
